Hi 👋🏻
Have you ever heard someone say, ‘I’ll take revenge by proving them wrong’?
Maybe you’ve seen people say it on Instagram, in your neighbourhood, or across different forms of digital media.
But in reality, that’s one of the worst ways to live your life.
Why taking revenge is a waste
Before I tell you anything, let me say this: if you want revenge on someone just because they said or did something wrong to you, they’ve already won over you twice.
First, by hurting or insulting you. Second, by making you waste your life trying to prove them wrong.
I constantly see rage-bait posts on social media telling people to prove everyone wrong. And every time, I ask one simple question, at what cost?
What I mean is, if you’re consistently trying to prove someone wrong, are you even living your life, or are you just fighting a battle they started?
And the ironic part? The person who said or did something wrong to you is probably busy building their life on their own terms. In some cases, they might be caught up in their own battles because of what someone else did to them. But most of the time, they’re simply focused on creating the life they want.
And you?
You’re stuck fighting instead of building a life you’d actually be proud of.
Solution
See, when someone says or does something wrong to you, you have three options. Either you confront them and end it there, or you completely ignore it, or lastly, you make it your mission to prove them wrong.
The last option is often the most dangerous because it can consume your life. But if you choose the first or second option, you get to live a life that truly belongs to you, and you keep enjoying it.
Now the choice is yours, do you want to let someone else’s actions destroy your life, or do you want to live a life you own and enjoy?
Thanks for reading 🙂
I really feel bad for people who waste their lives because of what someone else did, and who are happy to keep wasting their lives just to prove someone wrong. Don’t be the person who has regrets on their deathbed. Be the person who smiles, remembering all the good that happened to them, and all the good they created!
Thanks for reading G! See ya!

Book I’m reading this week:
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a historical fiction novel that follows Amir, a privileged Afghan boy, as he navigates guilt, friendship, and redemption, spanning from the fall of the Afghan monarchy to the Taliban regime!
1 thing I learnt this week:
Butterflies can taste with their feet! They have sensors on their legs that help them locate food and identify the best plants to lay their eggs on, which ensures their caterpillars have an immediate food source.
