Hey, happy Saturday,
Sorry for this boring cold email opening, it’s too hot here and I hate the summer…
Well, how’s the weather there?
This week in review
This week was a time-wasting week. I had so many tasks to work on, but as I mentioned last week, my company has just been incorporated, so certain compliances need to be completed.
However, the main time drain was on a different side: bad hiring.
Apart from that, I could not do much last week, and I regret that.
Now that it is the first day of November, we are just 60 days away from the end of the year. I want to finish it on a good note.
Insideletter
This week, I published 3 editions of Insideletter and had 3 sponsors in total.
Well, the start of an amazing journey.
Also, I published the very first podcast of Insideletter.
Trimmerly
Nothing new, but wasting a lot of time with the internal matters and talking with potential clients.
I’ll keep you posted.
Growth flywheel
I recorded 2 podcast episodes last week with Chanchal and Arushi.
And published Chanchal’s podcast.
You can check out the episode here:

I’ve been publishing my travel newsletter and have released 5 editions so far. It’s going well. Follow along.
What I learnt this week
People talk about hiring a lot. I used to wonder why everyone talked about it, but when my turn came, I understood.
As you know, I have been building Trimmerly. I hired a video editor and an executive assistant, and I made sure that communication and accountability were our main priorities.
Both of the hires did exactly what we did not want. One of them even used our kindness against us and blamed us for no reason.
It is not about Gen Z or anything like that. It is about making the wrong hire. In our case, the main issue was financial. We did not have much budget, so we could not afford a strong team.
What I’m reading this week:
I’ve started reading ‘So Good They Can't Ignore’ You by Cal Newport.
Loved reading my stuff, would you mind sharing it with others too?
